Hello

Image
Freshly Made Sketches 141 challenge was the inspiration behind this card. I had paper from Kaisercraft that I wanted to use so that's where I started. Instead of cutting small pieces and placing them on the card, I cut one large background piece and layered black strips for the cross-sections. Supplies Stamps-Inkadinkado, Hero Arts (Everyday Sayings) Inks-Tim Holtz Distress (Mowed Lawn, Peacock Feather), Versafine (Onyx Black) Patterned Paper-Kaisercraft (Afresh)

Thoughts Are With You

Image
Began this card with the Retro Sketch and added a script sentiment for this simple Thinking of You. I used the papers from the Carta Bella Traditions 6x6 paper pad. Somewhat reminiscent of one of Gramma's patchwork quilts which reminds me of comfort. Supplies  Stamps-Stampabilities (Thoughts Are With You), Technique Tuesday (Little Sentiments) Ink-VersaFine (Onyx Black), VersaMagic (Wheat) Die-MFT (Framed Greetings) Patterned Paper-Carta Bella (Traditions 6x6 pad)

Sailboat Birthday

Image
June's Diva Dare at Verve Stamps was to create a masculine card. I started with this week's Mojo Monday sketch, added the sailboat image which I had colored with the watercoloring technique. I decided on vibrant colors of red, white and blue to add to the celebration feeling. Supplies Stamps-Verve (Small Celebrations), Inkadinkado Ink-Staz-On (black), ColorBox (Harbor) Patterned Paper-Bazzill Basics (Ticking)

Sweet Pea Inspiration

Image
Using the photo as inspiration, I started by using Tim Holtz Distress inks in 3 colors on white cardstock (spun sugar, worn lipstick, dusty concord) and then stamped the image in black. I used a pink floral patterned paper for the background and added a lavender trim. Supplies Ink-Tim Holtz Distress (Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Dusty Concord), VersaFine (Onyx Black) Patterned Paper-Embellish by Dena (Little Azalea) Stamps-Vere (Treasured Words), Hampton Art (On Butterfly Wings) Trim

Distressed Gardener

Saturday's Kraftin' Kimmie challenge #234 was to use distressing. The edge was punched with an EK border punch. Supplies Stamps-Kraftin' Kimmie (Springtime Lulu) Ink-VersaFine (onyx Black), Tim Holtz Distress (Tea Dye), VersaMagic (Sahara Sand) Patterned Paper-Carta Bella (Traditions 6x6 pad) Border Punch-EK (Fancy Flight) Punches-EK, Marvy, Punch Bunch Dies-Spellbinders (Oval), MFT (Sentiment Strips) Colored Pencils

Swinging Lulu

Image
Couldn't resist using this adorable image of Lulu swinging. I used this bright and cheery paper for the background. Added a simple flag and flowers for dimension. Supplies Stamps-Kraftin'Kimmie (Springtime Lulu) Ink-VersaFine (Onyx Black), VersaMagic (Persimmon) Patterned Paper-Doodlebug (Citrus Squeeze Dotted Line) Die-Spellbinders (rose creations) Colored Pencils, Brads

Floral Wishes

Image
I'm not quite sure what happened to the background color but in person it's much closer to the bermuda bay in the challenge. I was inspired by the swirl of floral up the side of the cake so that's the focus of my card. I layered several paper flowers on top of a white embossed stamped image. Supplies Stamps-Hero Arts (Flower Swirl Vine), Verve (Small Celebrations) Ink-VersaMark (watermark) Embossing Powder-Stam 'n Stuff (Opaque Detail White) Flowers-Bazzill, Kaizer, Prima Brads-Doodlebug, Making Memories Patterned Paper-Echo Park (Summer Bliss 6x6 pad)

Golden Birthday Wishes

Image
I used both the photo and the sketch to design this card. Gold is the obvious theme for this card. I layered the stamps across the bottom added butterflies, ribbon, and a decorative tag. Supplies Stamps-Hero Arts (Earth Flowers), SU (Teeny Tiny Wishes) Ink-ColorBox Ribbon-Anna Griffin Die-Whimsy Stamps (Notables 3) Punch-SU (Lg Word Window)

To the Bride and Groom

Image
Used the inspiration photo from CAS(E) this sketch #81 to create a wedding card for a family member. Used white and gold for the color scheme and added a butterfly to the upper corner. Best Wishes

Image
Best Wishes was created for the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge #233 which was to create a birthday card. I've chosen a cute stamp from Rainy Day Fun for the image. It's new and I couldn't wait to make a card with it. I also used Birthday Trinkets for the sentiment on the card. This card will be perfect for a little boy's birthday! Supplies: Stamps-Kraftin'Kimmie (Rainy Day Fun & Birthday Trinkets), Ink-VersaFine (onyx black), Memento (tangelo), Patterned Paper-Chatterbox (olive poolhouse paisley, poolhouse stripe), buttons, colored pencils
