Retro Sketches #154

Image
I really liked this card when I finished it today. I'm always being asked for birthday cards for boys so I used the sketch from Retro Sketches as my starting point for this one. The skateboarder has been in my collection for quite a while and I knew that it would be perfect. I paired the stamp with paper from the Echo Park Scoot 6x6 paper pad and created this fun card. Supplies Cardstock - MFT (Nightshift Blue, Blu Raspberry, Gumdrop Green, Orange Fizz) Patterned Paper - Echo Park (Scoot paper pad) Ink - Versafine(Onyx Black) Stamp - Stampendous ( Skateboard Kiddo) Dies - MFT (Mix & Match Banners) Button Colored Pencils Inside Sentiment - Sweet N Sassy (Birthday Innies)

Merry Monday #147 and CAS(E) this Sketch #111

Image
Today's card is based on this sketch by CAS(E) this Sketch and features stars for the Merry Monday Challenge. I wanted a card that was bright and colorful so I started with the paper from Recollections that I've been holding in my stash. The sentiment stamp is from Inkadinkado set called Warm Holiday Wishes and it has stars mixed throughout the lettering. The red and green stars in the lower corner are affixed with foam adhesive to give some dimension. Supplies Stamp - Inkadinkado (Warm Holiday Wishes) Ink - ColorBox (Cranberry) Paper - Recollections Dies - MFT (Layered Label Die) Star Punches White Brad

Challenge 266 Peace & Love, I'm going to enter it into this week's Anything Goes 268 folder. It just so happens that it also works for the theme challenge at The Pink Elephant this week.
