My Bits and Pieces of Paper

   Today I worked on a couple of challenges. First, is the page above of my brother Jim as a little boy about 40 years ago. I entered it in the Creative Scrappers sketch challenge #210. The journaling isn't completed because the page is for my mom's album and I'm going to have her decide what she would like written in the journaling area. I used papers from the Paper Loft's Back Country line. The second page I finished was for A Cherry on Top May supply list and color challenges. This month's color was brown and the supplies I used were: 3 or more pennants, flower, oversized photo, ribbon, and a bird. I really enjoy working on these old photos and making beautiful pages while accomplishing some of the wonderful challenges that are posted each month.

This card is for week #6 of the Paper Secrets cardmaking challenge. The sketch was provided by PageMaps and we were challenged to use 3 items from a list of 6. I chose distressing, chipboard element, and twine. Thanks for looking. The papers for this are from Imaginisce-All Kinds of Happy collection.

I created this week's card for the PaperSecrets challenge using monochromatic tones of blues, a rub on sentiment, and fussy cutting the puppy. Every week I'm getting closer to the $50 gift certificate to their store by process of elimination.

PaperSecrets card challenge for this week was to use a sketch by PageMaps and 3 items from a list of 6. I chose 3 patterned papers, stamping, and ribbon. I've used scraps left from last year's Easter cards. The sketch was a little harder but I really like the end results.

PaperSecrets Blog is hosting a cardmaking challenge. Every week they will post a challenge and each participant must add a pic of their card creation. It starts this week. I almost missed the challenge this week (and it's only week #1) I'm off to a great start. It is an elimination challenge and in order to stay in the competition you must upload your pic by the deadline each week. Here's my first card.
